"Book Recommendation: The Spiderwick Chronicles" by Brandon H, Robartes School

BOOK REVIEW

The Spiderwick Chronicles
by Holly Black & Tony DiTerlizzi

I would recommend the fantasy series The Spiderwick Chronicles to any self-respecting fantasy fan. It is a great book for pre-teens aged 9-12 and for teens from 13-15.
It is a series of books involving the Grace children; Jared and Simon who are twins, and their teenage sister Mallory.
They undergo a series of fantastical events in which they meet Thimbletack the helpful brownie, Their cat gets kidnapped by goblins, their aunt Lucinda hides a secret, Mallory is abducted by dwarfs and they face the Wrath of Mulgarath.
Look out for moderate uses of very mild language.

The books to collect are:
  • The Field Guide
  • The Seeing Stone
  • Lucinda's Secret
  • The Ironwood Tree
  • The Wrath of Mulgarath.
